No additional candidates were proposed from the floor.
The slate of candidates, as noted above, plus any additional candidates nominated from the floor, are slated for a vote at the 12 April meeting. As per SMD bylaws this web post and corresponding email to the active membership constitutes the second reading of the slate of candidates as it currently stands.
All other positions within the Division are appointed by the superintendent. As of this time all current appointed position holders have indicated that they will continue to serve during the 2026 / 2027 program year. In addition, the incumbent superintendent, Dan Mulhearn, has indicated that, if elected, he will officially appoint an assistant superintendent to provide better continuity on those occasions where he cannot attend a meeting or event. Division member Bob Johnson indicated that he would be willing to serve in the position with the stipulation that Johnson will not advance to the role of superintendent at any point in the future.
The scheduled host for the 12 April meeting has had to cancel due to health issues. So we currently do not have a meeting location. Anyone interested in hosting should contact Dan Mulhearn as soon as possible.
